Prophecy of Suffering was formed in 2018 in Gunnison, Colorado by brothers Jamison and Mitchell Parker, following the break up of their previous band  Kreature of Habit. They were determined to change their writing style from thrash/groove metal to brutal death metal and began the long, arduous process of developing an entirely new way of approaching their craft. Jamison and Mitchell released one EP named "Hymns of Hatred and Disgust" (2016) under the band name Chaotic End before officially changing the name to Prophecy of Suffering in 2018. They quickly released a three song promo that year and began working on the full length album "Misanthropic Hallucination" that was subsequently released on October 23rd, 2020. Since then, they have played shows all over Colorado while also continuing to write new music, and even managed to re-record and re-release their 2016 EP "Hymns..." in April of 2023.

Anyone who has seen Prophecy of Suffering play live knows that Jamison and Mitchell take their music very seriously and do their best to put on an intense and precise performance every time. From the first note of one of their live shows, they have a way of captivating their audience, with many people stating that they can't believe "only two guys can make so much sound". Not only have they been playing music together since roughly 2005 (when they we're in junior high school), they still spend many hours a week honing in new songs and practicing their live setlist.
